Giving the Best Gift

I was ecstatic when Preston's mom, Jennifer, reached out about gifting her son and his girlfriend a photo session. Photo sessions make the best gift! Preston lives here in Utah. Rachel lives in Colorado. And they're both from Las Vegas. They met when they were both home in Las Vegas and Preston reached out on social media to Rachel during the Covid lock down. The couple quickly fell for each other, but soon had to return to their colleges in two separate states.

Jennifer reached out because Rachel was going to be here in Utah for a little trip to spend time with Preston. It was too sweet. Jennifer really wanted some good pictures of the two of the them together, and thought they would really enjoy a photo session together, too! She was so right! I've always said photo sessions make the best gift. It's a gift that is enjoyed FOREVER and a gift that a lot of people don't make happen on their own!

I reached out to Preston to find a perfect spot for their pictures. After recommending a few places, they picked one of my favorites. I love the texture and warmth of the wood stacks, and pictures will never go wrong at Hyrum Dam. Any excuse to visit my former home town is a great one for me.

The Session

Preston is a self described hater of getting pictures taken. You'd never be able to tell in these photos!! I assured him that I would guide and direct them through the whole shoot AND that we would have a lot of fun through it all. We totally did! These two are the epitome of young, fun and excited love. When you don't get to see each other often, I'm pretty sure you soak up every minute together. That's what they did! We had tons of laughs, lots of cuddling, some tender moments and lots of love captured.
