G Family Gets a Puppy! || Logan, Utah Family Lifestyle Photographer

Oooohhhh, this session.  This session was so magical. You know as an adult how sometimes you get a little pinge reminder of what it was like to be a kid? Like the feeling of excitement and anticipation on Christmas morning, or when your child hops on their new bike for the first time. That is the feeling I got while waiting for these two adorable kiddos to be surprised with their new puppy! And it was seriously so magical. The look on Haddie's face when her dad walked down the sidewalk holding the puppy was priceless.  But it wasn't until her mom and dad told her that Izzy Strawberry was hers to keep that the smile just widened and lit up her whole face. Jax on the other hand... poor Jax.  Have you ever seen the videos online of kids crying because they just can't handle the excitement? Well... that was Jax.  But it was soooo funny!! He was literally just walking around crying "puppy, puppy!" with such an excited and sad cry.I really love that this session has soooo many special parts to it. First, we did the session in the family's front yard. So now they not only have pictures of the puppy surprise, but we were also able to get pictures of the kids hanging in their front yard before the puppy arrived. We were able to capture Haddie riding her bike.  We got pictures of Jax climbing the stairs. We got pictures of the two of them together at the home they both came home to. And we got pictures of them snuggling their momma.  It was so perfect.  All of it!I wanted to share about this session not just because it's the cutest session ever, but also because I absolutely love that Ashley wanted to have professional lifestyle photos to remember this special family moment. One of the main benefits to having me there was that Ashley was able to fully immerse herself in the experience of surprising her kids with a new puppy. She wasn't worried about taking pictures because she knew that someone else was taking care of it. So she got see the first look on her daughter's face when the puppy came around the corner. And she got to help Jax hold his puppy for the first time. Her and her husband got to get down on the ground and play with the kids and the puppy and hear their giggles and see their smiles.I think when we look back at our children's lives, every moment truly will be one we want to remember. I know we can't all have a professional photographer follow us around 24/7/365. But I do think that looking ahead at what an experience will potentially be for our family, and planning to have someone there to capture it for us, is worth it. I never regret pictures I take.  Just the ones I don't.Logan Utah Photographer_5987.jpgLogan Utah Photographer_5976.jpgLogan Utah Photographer_5973.jpgLogan Utah Photographer_5974.jpgLogan Utah Photographer_5988.jpgLogan Utah Photographer_5975.jpgLogan Utah Photographer_5989.jpgLogan Utah Photographer_5977.jpgLogan Utah Photographer_5990.jpgLogan Utah Photographer_5991.jpgLogan Utah Photographer_5978.jpgLogan Utah Photographer_5979.jpgLogan Utah Photographer_5980.jpgLogan Utah Photographer_5992.jpgLogan Utah Photographer_5981.jpgLogan Utah Photographer_5982.jpgLogan Utah Photographer_5983.jpgLogan Utah Photographer_5984.jpgLogan Utah Photographer_5985.jpgLogan Utah Photographer_5993.jpgLogan Utah Photographer_5986.jpg
