Emily || Logan, Utah Senior Portrait Photographer || Antelope Island
I always get so excited when people from out of town call for a photo session. Emily's mom called and asked if I had any availability for a senior portrait session in the next few days. Her family was headed out here to drop her older sister off at USU. Because Utah looks just a tiny bit different from Iowa, they wanted to do some pictures out here so Emily could get some variety from the typical senior sessions out their way. I always feel extremely humbled when someone from out of town calls me for a shoot because their opinion of me is completely based on my online portfolio. It's not because a friend referred them, or they had seen my name before. But because they looked at my work and thought that we would be a good fit. And it's such a good feeling to know what I'm "putting out there" is being seen and liked!Emily showed up with a truck full of amazing outfits, a contagious smile, and a fun family enjoying a vacation together. I think we were able to capture it all pretty well, too! We headed out to Antelope Island for the session because of the variety of looks we can get with one location. Even though it was extremely hazy from all the Utah wildfires, the sky still showed off with a gorgeous and unique sunset. I had fun chatting with Emily and her family during the session about Emily's upcoming senior year. Emily's dad is an administrator at her school, and it was evident that both his girls were really close to him. Very sweet to watch. Her sister is out here at USU now as a member of the softball team, and was anxious to get started on her new adventure. The family was close and full of love and laughter, so we had them jump in a few pictures to document this very life changing time for all of them. It was such a fun night, and I'm glad I got to meet and work with this crew!
