This post is for all you small business ladies (and gents!) who are kind of at a loss for what to post on your social media. I've gushed about my love for Emily on the blog, but I wanted to drop in today and chat about doing this content shoot with her. While our social media platforms should absolutely showcase our business and products, it's also a place to connect with our audience and clients. Guys, I suck at this. Not because I don't know the importance, but because I HATE getting in FRONT of the camera. I'm so comfortable behind it that I just feel like a fish out of water in front of it. But here's the thing - your clients WANT to know you. They don't want to just invett in your product or business.... they want to invest in YOU.Newsflash - most of your favorite social media peeps are NOT posting in real-time. They're posting via schedule posts or pre-planned content. That being said, most of us don't live a lifestyle that allows us to get up every day, get ready, have a professional photoshoot, edit the pictures, write fancy captions, post them to all social media platforms, and walk away. Here's where content creation sessions come in. This is a photo session just for your business (hello tax write off!) where we concentrate on what you want to be posting about on your social media. Are you a fashion blogger and need outfit pics? Are you a makeup artist like Em and need lifestyle pics? Are you a gardener and need pictures of you working in your garden and shopping at your favorite gardening store? Are you in an MLM company and need pictures of using your products and some headshots to go with it? EVERY COMPANY out there needs images to tell the story of what you do. And YOU need to be in those images!Content creation sessions really can be anything you need to fill your social media with the story you're trying to tell. The goal is to get you a variety of images that will work to fill your feed for a set amount of time. They are so fun to collaborate on and really give you a product that will help you succeed at running your business!
