Ella || Centerville, Utah Baptism and Child Photographer

Ella is the epitome of childhood in this session. She's such a carefree spirit, and just the sweetest girl to work with! Because I work with her family on a yearly basis at least, this girl is a pro by now at photoshoots. She literally looked like a little angel for her baptism shoot.

Ella and this session completely took me back to being an eight year old little girl and getting ready for my own baptism. I remember feeling so big when I picked out my purple velvet dress during my birthday shopping trip with my Granny Red (lovingly named after her always dyed red hair). Back in Ohio where I grew up, wearing a white dress to your baptism wasn't a tradition, but I love how fun it is for the little girls here! I remember being nervous when I walked down into the water. But I also remember my dad standing there waiting for me. I can still feel my hand on his wrist and his other hand wrapped around mine. That's the best part about special days like a baptism day - it's out of the ordinary, and I can remember more details. I honestly didn't even think about that feeling until writing this post and taking a minute to remember. Tender mercy right there because I LOVE having random memories of my dad, especially of his touch since I haven't felt it in 19 years!
