Ashley and Dan's wedding day couldn't have been more beautiful and perfect in every way. From the intricate details of origami pinwheels (we're talking hundreds that Ashley made!) to the breathtaking, heavenly mountain views. Everything about this wedding down to the last detail was in place and waiting to be enjoyed.
When I first walked into Ashley's bridal suite and saw her dress, I thought something looked different from when we took formal pictures last winter. And then Ashley told me that after buying her first dress, she decided that she really wanted a dress with a soft color to it. What girl wouldn't want a gown that literally had a Disney tag on the inside. This Alfred Angelo dress from his Disney collection is inspired by Cinderella, and Ashley looked as beautiful as Cinderella in it. And I love that it was different and unique to Ashley!
One of my other favorites of the day were the socks she knitted for Dan as a wedding gift. Chelsea, my amazing second shooter, got to see them and took some pictures to remember them. I couldn't believe Ashley actually knitted "I Do" into them. This is one talented bride! Unfortunately, they were a little too hot for the wedding day, but I know they will keep Dan's feet extra cozy in the coming winter months!
The actual marriage ceremony was one of the most beautiful I have seen. I love watching couples who really take in the moment on their wedding day, and Ashley and Dan are one of those couples for sure. From the hilarious "Mad Lib" vows that Ashley involved her guests in to the real vows which were the most beautiful I've ever heard, their ceremony was perfect. Not to mention their efficient, Luke, was one of my former grooms from back in Omaha. He's the grooms brother and was able to make it out to Utah for the ceremony without having to rush back for his twin boys to be born! Thank you babies for staying put!
The evening ended perfectly with a beautiful song Ashley sang to Dan. The "shoe game" was hilarious, and the food was great! Oh, and all of the centerpieces were 3D printed items that meant a lot to Dan and Ashley. They were awesome! It was such a perfect day for these two. I'm so happy for them!
