Year in Review // Defining Pictures of 2014
There are a few photos throughout the year that have had impacted me in various ways. Some of them make me feel so many emotions when I look at them. Others are just favorite shots that I love to look at.
Here are my top pictures of 2014.
Defining Wedding
Sara and Corey and their sweet daughter people I will never forget. The emotion in this wedding was beautiful. This truly was a new family being created, and the love that Corey's daughter has for Sara is so sweet. I am in love with this picture because of how much love I feel when I look at it. I also love how Sara is the support for the family in this picture. Corey and his daughter needed Sara to strengthen their family, and I think this picture portrays that beautifully. I just absolutely love the emotion this photo brings!
Defining Birth Story
Baby Liam's birth story was my first complete story to cover - maternity, birth, recovery, and newborns. I left the hospital after his birth and KNEW I had found a deeper passion in photography. Being a part of his experience was so defining for me because it's given me a greater interest in STORYTELLING in photography. And what more beautiful story can be told than that of welcoming a new life into the world!
Defining Family
Sophia and her beautiful family really made this so easy! Their outfits and style was SO fun, and completely gave me a direction for the shoot. I just loved how much fun she had putting her family together and how she had a vision, too. This was the most fun I had on a shoot this year!
Defining Engagement
Tauni and Heath are one of those couples who completely let their emotions out during their session, and it shows! I love the feeling in this picture. Tauni is such an amazing woman - so strong. But I love the vulnerability she has towards her now husband, and the love they have for each other. It's beautiful!
Defining Baby
I just couldn't get this picture out of my head for a few weeks after taking it! Baby Miles is SO CUTE! and I just love the expression on his face in this shot. It will always be a favorite of mine!
Defining Child
Sweet little Miley was so perfect during this session. I love the innocence of this cute little girl. I also love the maturity that shows in these pictures since they are documenting such a big event in Miley's life. Sometimes it's hard to get children to come out of their shells during a session, but cute little Miley was so fun during her session and really let me direct her. She's just so adorable!
