Tori + Taylor Fall Engagements || Logan, Utah Wedding Photographer || How to Style Your Fall Engagements
Meet Tori and Taylor and their adorable pups! This session was amazing. Tori put together such unique outfits that really fit the style of fall in the mountains but also brought a great variety to their engagement session. The thing I love about engagement sessions is that they really are a couple's first "family pictures." I think they are so much more important than just pictures for a wedding announcement or decorations for showers or receptions. They document the beginning of a family, especially since a lot of couples do not do pictures of just the two of them before adding kids to the family. I like to envision how pictures will be displayed in their home, too. While it is completely OK to wear only one outfit for any session, I like the idea of having the variety when thinking of pictures placed throughout the home. Being about to use a large variety of images from your shoot to decorate different parts of the home or work offices is always one of my goals, and I like the idea of the pictures having a different look and feel. Outfit changes definitely help with that!Tori mixed it up with three different looks. And it's definitely what I suggest doing when you want a good variety to your session, even when we don't even change up locations too much! For their first look, the couple went more dresses and classic. Taylor stayed somewhat casual in jeans, but added the dressier button down to compliment Tori's amazing long navy dress. I don't know what it was about this outfit... maybe Tori's light blonde hair, the wind, or the moody clouds.... or it was probably all three.... but I fell in love with the romantic feel of this outfit in a black and white edit. But both in color and black and white, these had a sense of timeless romance to them. For their second outfit, Tori went more casual with the leather jacket, denim jeans, and booties. Taylor looked great in a more casual button-down. Paired with fall leaves, mountains, and puppies, this made for the perfect cozy and comfortable pictures. For the last outfit, we headed to an open field with the rolling Paradise hills in the background. The couple went with more of a mountains and lived in look, and it was perfect for close cuddles and romance. It was a great end to the session, and the perfect outfit for that last little bit of variety.
