My Maternity Session || Logan, Utah Maternity Photographer
Yesterday was such a fun day. I had my mama come up and watch my littlest, Deacon, while I went and had my haircut and got my hair and makeup done by the fabulous Julie Holbrook at AVE Salon in Ogden. Once I was done there, I headed home to grab the boys and my mom and head up the beautiful fall colored Logan Canyon to do my maternity pictures! My mom was amazing - I would have her stand where I wanted the picture taken, do all the settings, and then we would switch places so she could snap the picture. She did great at getting everything in focus which is usually pretty difficult for newbies on a professional camera! We caught some beautiful light and beautiful colors. We didn't catch very cooperative big brothers, so I'm a little sad we didn't get any pictures that I LOVE with them. Little stinkers.
It's been really fun planning out this shoot. I'm not sure if this is my last baby or not, but it's definitely been a different pregnancy because she's a girl. I did maternity pictures with the boys, but I know little girl will have a different kind of appreciation for these one day! I wanted some really feminine ones, so I ordered a floral crown from First and Third Event Market, went to Bohme and bought the dress that Emi wore to her maternity session the other day (because why go shopping for the perfect dress when your client already found it for you!!), and put on some high heeled booties from my sister. I love how different this session was for me than any session I've ever done. It was so fun!
I had my husband snap a few milk bath photos today, too. I've seen them floating around pinterest and always thought they had a really elegant, soft, simple beauty to them. I figured I better try them out first before offering them to clients, and I have to say, I like how they turned out! I wish I could have seen the placement of the flowers better - Brock didn't really notice the details (love ya, honey). So I'd love to try this out with a client so we can get a little more artsy with them! With the maternity session done, all I need to do is make it past my next two weddings next weekend and then it's BABY TIME!!! Can't wait to meet my little Holland!
