Jonny + Jack + Rosie || Centerville, Utah Family Photographer
About a month ago, a miracle really of an opportunity came up that allowed me to pack up my house in less than 24 hours and move my three kids and me down to Centerville to be closer to my family. We left what I thought was my dream home when I built it - a big yard, an amazing neighborhood, and room to grow, and we settled into a two bedroom apartment. And we're loving it. We are close to my family, there's so much less for me to clean and take care of, and the we're all adjusting well to our new life. I also didn't have to completely say goodbye to Cache Valley since I'm up there often to visit friends and lots of photoshoots!
One of the bonuses of moving down this way has definitely been being a little bit closer to this cute family. I met Jonny a few months ago, and he's been a pretty decent friend to have around ;) We've hiked together, gone to drive-in movies, swam at Crystal Hot Springs with some of the kids, hit up a hot springs randomly off I-15 alone (Jonny found that one on Pinterest....), played tennis, gone bowling, and literally loaded up my mini van with all the kids to have a few different park play dates. My daughter, Holland, is always asking where "O-sie" and Jack are.
Having friends who can relate to the experiences I've had of going through a divorce and the transition after it is very healing for me. Jonny has literally been a shoulder to cry on and has also provided A LOT of laughs. It's been fun getting to know him and his adorable kids. I asked him if he wanted some family pictures, and was happy he wanted to do them.
We planned to go to the Salt Flats... but definitely were a little off on how far out they were. So we decided to check out Saltaire instead. It was perfect out there. And these guys were perfect for this shoot. I think we got some great pictures that show both the fun side of this family, but also the very tender side, too. I had a great night with all of them and am grateful to have this sweet family as our friends!
