Emmy & Deacon // Inspiration Shoot // Logan, Utah Baby Photographer

This shoot has been a long time in the making! Chelsea over at Chelsea Lehman Photography and I go way back to my wedding! Chelsea was working for our mentor, Eric, as my wedding photographer when we met.  After I started working with Eric too, we got to know each other.  And then we had our older boys within a few months together and we really started hanging out more.  We became even closer when I lived in Nebraska and we struggled through fertility together. We both wanted babies and it wasn't happening.  And then we both finally got pregnant and had Deacon and Emmy about 6 weeks apart.  Since I've been back in Cache Valley, Chelsea has been my best friend.  Our kids play great together, and we have so much in common.  From our photography businesses to what are kids are interested in - everything just clicks!

Chels and I had an idea a while back to dress Deacon and Emmy up in a bride and groom looking ensemble and do a little "inspiration" shoot with them.  I've been a part of an inspiration shoot, and I LOVED the experience.  It's definitely a trend for photographers right now.  This shoot is a little play on that.  So fun and different.  We were really hoping that the babies would cooperate and hold hands and give "hugs," but they really just didn't want to today.  (Sad face.  They usually do at play dates.)  But I still love how these turned out.  Also, what kind of photographer forgets a memory card and has to take turn using her friend's camera instead.  Yeah.... this one.... Biggest bummer of the night.  That's what happens when you try to play photographer AND mom.  We made it work though! (Thanks again, Chels!)  This was a fun night with these babes.  But even more fun to do some "fun" work with my friend!
