Dates With Deacon #1
Oh man, guys. This kid. This kid is my tornado. He's my stubborn headed tyrant. He's my cheek dimpled, blue eyes, love of my life too. And he's been struggling lately. When Deacon struggles, I know he needs one thing - one on one time with his mama. It always makes a difference in his behavior when I spend alone time with him. After the last month or two has been filled with extra stubborn and naughty behaviors, constant back talk, lots of whining, and a lot of "I don't care" attitude, I knew I needed to take a step back from everything else and focus on this kid for a day.
Deacon was extra excited when I told him we were going to go run errands and then go out for lunch together. His sister wasn't as happy. But that's the good part about grandmas - they can make everything better! So Holland got to hang with Grandma, and Deacon and I headed out for pizza.
He's so stinking cute when we go on dates. He's extra polite, holds my hand, opens my doors, and talks about how we're on a "date" pretty much the whole time. I even got him to wear pants that aren't sweatpants so he could "look hot for his date." It's a big deal. Believe me. We chose pizza for lunch at Blaze Pizza in Farmington and Dough Co next door for desert, and it was pretty perfect. I love this little boy so much!
