Cross E Ranch Salt Lake City, Utah
We had so much fun this year at Cross E Ranch. There were tons of activities, and it was such a perfect place to go enjoy a nice, fall night together. We started our adventure there looking at the farm animals. Holland thought they were "so tute." (I love her little voice when she says this!) There was a fun bow and arrow shooting booth set up that the kids (and adults) had lots of fun at. We all got really into that one. I loved watching the boys struggle to even get the arrow ready at first, but totally get it down by the end. The best part of that was probably the fact that Josh and I both thought we could hit the targets on the first shot.... we both sucked. Ha.
We checked out the huge hay tower next. But the corn pit definitely distracted them from that. I love that all of these places have the corn pit. It always reminds me of the first one Tim played in at Vala's by Omaha. Visiting Vala's every year while we lived there was definitely a highlight of Omaha. That place was amazing, but I'm glad we can somewhat continue that tradition here in Utah! This corn pit here didn't disappoint! We just really need one at our house because the kids were able to wrestle without anyone getting hurt. Gotta love that Holland gets really into it, too.
The big slides and play area were our next stop. The kids obviously had tons of fun doing the slides. Holland loved all the play toys, too. We (tried) to play corn hole, but I have a group of kids who don't like to play by the rules. An announcement came on the speaker anyway that the pigs were about to race, so of course we checked that out. That was hilarious.
We did the small corn maze before heading back to the food area for great food and homemade donuts. WE ended the night with a hay ride at dusk. We had such a fun night together, and this will definitely be a place we visit yearly!
