Beckham Fresh48 || Ogden, Utah Newborn Photographer
Beckham came to this world at the perfect time - at least if you ask his Auntie... who is also his own personal little paparazzi.... and also... me. This little boy is the absolute sweetest. His cheeks, his hair, his little eyes... I can't get enough of him. Whenever I FaceTime his mama and she casually scans the phone to his sweet face, I wanna cry. I love him so much.
I was there for Beckham's birth to capture his first hour of life. It was beautiful, spiritual, and happy. It was also really early in the morning. So I told mom and dad I would come back before they left the hospital to do some more pictures of the sweet new babe.
When I came back, it was crazy how much Beckham had already changed. At birth, he looked exactly like his mama. But now he was looking more like a good mix of his mama and dad. He really didn't love me taking off his blankets. I don't blame him. Being cold sucks. But he did love when we put them back on and got him in his parents' arms.
My sister was looking pretty tired, as do most new moms. I was really worried about her when I left. She lives over an hour away, and with a new baby, I knew I couldn't really go help and bring three little kids along. I didn't know what to do. Gratefully, once Emmaline got home and got a little more sleep, she started looking more like our "Slime" again. Having a baby in the middle of the night would be so rough, but she did SO GOOD!
It's been beautiful watching her not just start her new role as a mom, but ROCK it. I went and visited a while ago, and I couldn't believe how natural everything was going for her. Jake, my brother in law, is a rockstar dad, too. He's doing amazing at juggling a newborn baby AND taking care of his beautiful wife, too. This little family is perfect. I love them so much!
